About Us

Rooted in Nature. Inspired by Family. Created with Love.

Welcome to The Wild Herbalist.

If you've found your way here, I'd love to tell you a little about how it all began.

Our story starts in Carriço, a small village in Portugal where generations of my family lived closely with the land. My grandparents, just as their parents and grandparents had done before them, grew vegetables, herbs and fruit naturally, long before organic farming became a movement, just as their parents and grandparents had done before them, not for a trend, but because it was simply how things were done. Nature wasn't something separate from everyday life; it was part of it.

Some of my happiest childhood memories were made there. Meals were prepared using ingredients grown just a few steps from the kitchen, bringing the whole family together around the table. Looking back, those moments taught me that some of life's greatest comforts come from simple things: good food, meaningful connection and time spent close to nature.

As life took me on a new adventure, I moved to the United Kingdom. While much changed, those lessons never left me. Along the way, I was fortunate to be surrounded by people who encouraged me to keep learning, stay curious and pursue the things that truly mattered to me.

My parents, Ana and Joel, have always been my greatest inspiration. They taught me that the greatest achievement in life isn't measured by wealth or possessions, but by the positive difference we make in other people's lives. Like many families, we've also faced challenges that reminded us how precious our health, time and our loved ones truly are. Those experiences deepened my appreciation for the small, everyday choices that help us care for ourselves and the people around us.

My curiosity about herbs eventually grew into something much deeper. What began as an interest became a passion, and today I continue to study herbalism because I believe there is always more to learn. For me, herbs aren't about finding a quick fix or achieving perfection. They're about reconnecting with nature and ourselves, understanding traditional wisdom and appreciating the ways plants have supported people for generations.

That journey became The Wild Herbalist.

More than a shop, it's a space where I can share what I'm learning, celebrate the beauty of herbs and help create a community built rooted in curiosity, kindness and connection with Mother Nature. Whether you're discovering herbs for the first time or have loved them for years, I'm so grateful you've found your way here.

With love,
